Shield Security Systems serves the right to decline enrollment in the extended warranty plan to any SHIELD Security Systems customer at our sole discretion.
Regretfully, without a prorated surcharge. SHIELD Security Systems cannot offer new warranty activations on the fire detection equipment that is more than five years old. Smoke detectors are (by manufacturers specifications) to be kept in use no longer than 10 years. Please call the business office for details if your system (containing fire detection equipment) was installed more than five years ago.   
Security Systems installed more that two years ago require an initial inspection prior implementation of a service agreement. The inspection fee for a residential security system is $72 plus sales tax (where applicable) plus an additional fee of $40 for systems with fire detection hardware.  
The first service call in a12-month period is free of charge. Subsequent calls for new service issues will be assessed a $35 co-payment per service call. 
The company’s obligation to provide repair service does not cover batteries or physical damage nor does it apply if the system has been damaged by acts beyond the company’s control, including but not limited to accidents, power surges, telecommunications or electrical failures or changes to services by the client, misuse, lack of proper maintenance, unauthorized changes, or acts of God such as lightening, floods, etc.  
All repair service will be done during the company’s normal business hours.  
The following components are covered under the repair service agreement: Panel, Sump Alert, Keypad, Window and Door Contacts, Glass Break Detectors, Motion Detectors.  
With a repair service agreement, SHIELD Security Systems will provide all labor, material and parts necessary to service the system due to defects in the system and ordinary wear and tear.

SHIELD Security Systems agrees to provide repair service to the system for a fee, paid in addition to your monitoring fee. All warranties are annual and coincide with the annual renewal of central station monitoring services. At any time after the expirations date of agreement, either party can terminate the repair service agreement with 30 days prior written notice.
